New Database Online

Utah History Division releases 171,000 vintage images

"The Utah Division of State History, in conjunction with Backstage Library Works, the University of Utah's Marriott Library and Southern Utah University, is proud to announce that after nearly 2 years of work, four decades' worth of The Salt Lake Tribune's photo archives have just been digitized and released to the public. The collection holds 171,000 images taken by Salt Lake Tribune photographers from the 1930s through the 1960s."

Photos are searchable and free to the public as long as they're used non-commercially; fees are charged for high-resolution downloads.
