How to utilize the library's sewing space.

Before using our sewing space, please watch the following short videos. They will help you learn how to use our machines and have a safe and good experience!

Sewing Space Overview

  • Our Sewing Machine is a Bernina 950
  • Servo motor upgrade (easy speed control)
  • Various colors of thread are available for free
  • Bring your own fabric or use our limited scraps
  • Serger is an Industrial Juki MO9800S
  • The serger cuts and finishes the edge of fabric simultaneously
  • Only light grey thread available for the serger
  • Also available: cutting mat, iron, steamer, and various basic sewing tools (see Tools tab)
  • When you reserve the sewing machine, you have access to both of the machines and all the tools we have available

The sewing space is free to use, you just need to make a reservation. Click here to set up a time.

When you come in for your reservation you will need to check out the bobbin case from our desk.

Desk Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 8am - 9pm

Friday: 8am - 6pm

Saturday: 10am - 6pm

(Closed Tuesday from 10:45-12:00 for University Devotional)
