Science for the Human Good
We often associate science with lab coats, research, and theories. But science is more personally impactful than that - its ultimate aim is to benefit mankind. This is especially the case at BYU, where we "Enter to Learn, Go Forward to Serve." Elder Maxwell noted:
“Brigham Young University seeks to improve ... itself for the sake of others - not for the praise of the world, but to serve the world better.” (Neal A. Maxwell, November 1971)
On and off campus we can see many examples of students using science to address difficult human issues like poverty, public health, environmental problems, and mobility. We invite you to share your observations of how science is employed by BYU students to improve the human condition.
